The Children Around the World Unit continues. Help your child maintain a record of how they spend their time in a given week. In class they examine those observations and classify their activities using various categories (e.g., time alone and time with others; time with other children and time with adults; time with relatives and time with non-relatives; and time at home, in school, or outdoors). They examine variations in how different children in the class spend their time and discuss, for example, how they help in school and how they help at home. Students also discuss the rights and responsibilities that they have at home and in school. Adapted from Reimers, Fernando; Chopra, Vidur; Chung, Connie; Higdon, Julia; O'Donnell, E. (2016-07-28).
